Raise your hand up if the amazing landscapes of Game of Thrones give you an immediate urge to travel? Yeah, me too. It's the ultimate show for wanderlusty people! Well, if you're already suffering of post partum depression after the season finale, I've got a bit of an idea of how to make the next year of waiting a little less long...

Did you know that 80% of the hit HBO show Game of Thrones was filmed in Northern Ireland?
A lot of the special effects are filmed in Belfast in the Titanic studios, but show producers also used the amazing landscapes of the little country to shoot on location.
At the end of June, ahead of the series seventh season, a group of amazingly fun bloggers and myself went to Northern Ireland to visit some of the most iconic filming locations of the hit HBO show (that we were all massive fans of!)
We visited Winterfell (gameofthrones-winterfelltours.com) with our amazing guide William picking us up at Belfast Airport in full knight costume, met the direwolves Grey Wind and Summer and some extra cast members of the show (direwolftours.com) and then traveled around Pyke and the Iron Islands with Brian (gameofthronestours.com).
Below are some of my favourite photographs I captured during the tour! But believe me, it's evem more amazing to see it with your own eyes.
Also, if you happen to pass by Belfast, the Ulster museum recently unveiled an amazing 77 meters long tapestry recounting the most meemorable scenes of the show (.ireland.com). That should make the wait for the 8th season a little more enjoyable, don;t you agree?
- I was invited on a trip to Northern Ireland as a guest of the Ireland Tourist Board.
